Job Summary
Weidmuller seeks a dynamic, results-driven professional to grow business in Factory Automation, Energy (Switchgears/Substations), and Building Management System sectors by identifying opportunities, building key relationships, and promoting advanced industrial solutions.
Responsibilities
Market Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Factory Automation, Energy, and BMS sectors to expand market presence
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
Customer Engagement
- Build and sustain strong relationships with panel builders, system integrators, consultants, and other key stakeholders
- Deliver technical presentations to effectively communicate Weidmuller’s solutions and value propositions
- Provide pre-sales and application support by collaborating with technical teams to address customer requirements
Sales Strategy Execution
- Develop and implement account development plans aligned with regional growth targets
- Collaborate with distributors and partners to drive indirect sales and expand market reach
- Monitor sales pipeline activities and report progress against targets to ensure goal achievement
Product & Solution Promotion
- Actively promote Weidmuller’s portfolio including terminal blocks, relays, power supplies, Industrial Ethernet, signal conditioners, and cabinet solutions to relevant customers
- Partner with product management to position and launch new solutions effectively in the market
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with marketing, product management, and customer service teams to align strategies and ensure seamless execution
- Gather and relay customer feedback to influence product development and continuous improvement
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation, panel building, or related industries
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial control systems, panel assembly practices, and associated components
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Established network within the panel builder or system integrator community
- Existing contacts in local EPC or government tender/project pursuits
- Possession of own vehicle to facilitate customer visits and field activities
