Responsibilities
- Accounts payable & receivable: Assist in processing vendor invoices, preparing payment runs, issuing customer invoices, and tracking accounts receivable balances.
- Transaction recording & reconciliations: Maintain accurate general ledger entries and perform routine bank, credit card, and vendor account reconciliations.
- Cross-team & vendor coordination: Collaborate with finance leadership, procurement, operations, and external vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries in a timely manner.
- Financial reporting support: Help prepare month-end close documentation, schedules, and preliminary balance sheet or expense analysis.
- Compliance & audit assistance: Support the collection and organization of financial records, receipts, and tax documentation (e.g., VAT filings and annual audit requests).
- Process improvement: Participate in optimizing internal finance workflows and adopting digital tools to enhance speed and accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Excel.
- Experience working with finance leadership, procurement, operations, employees, and vendors on invoice and payment matters.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic.
- Experience with general ledger accounting is a plus.
