Accounting Manager

You will lead accountants across core general ledger functions and oversee Accounts Payable, travel and expense operations, and month-end close. You will maintain controls and accounting policies, ensure U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance, optimize procure-to-pay and expense systems, use AI to improve accuracy, and partner across the business on financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounts Payable and travel and expense operations
• Ensure expense accuracy and timely accruals
• Oversee the month-end close process
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX
• Streamline accounting processes
• Mentor, coach, and develop the accounting team
• Recruit and onboard team members
• Own procure-to-pay and travel and expense systems
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize finance systems
• Use AI to improve close accuracy and variance analysis
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Engineering, and other teams
• Provide accounting guidance to business partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 6+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• 2+ years at a Big Four firm
• Experience leading Accounts Payable, travel and expense, or accounting operations
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
• Experience with Numeric, Zip, Brex, treasury platforms, or AI-driven process tools
• Expertise in U.S. GAAP, consolidations, leases, fair value investments, accruals, and foreign currency accounting
• 2+ years managing and developing team members
• Experience driving process improvements, implementing systems, and scaling operations
• CPA certification is preferred
• Experience at a public technology company is preferred
