This position plays an important role in keeping the District’s business operations running smoothly and efficiently. As a key administrative leader supporting Traffic Operations and the Central Repair Shop, you will oversee the financial, purchasing, inventory, and payroll functions that help keep day-to-day operations on track. You’ll work closely with Section leadership and staff, use sound judgment to resolve issues, and ensure administrative processes are accurate, compliant, and well organized. - Six years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Specification

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Oversee fiscal and budget operations by monitoring expenditures, reconciling accounts, reviewing financial documents, analyzing budget trends, and assisting Section leadership with budget planning and requests.
- Supervise procurement and inventory operations by overseeing purchasing activities, warehouse operations, material distribution, inventory controls, and annual physical inventories while ensuring compliance with DOTD policies and procedures.
- Manage payroll and administrative processes by supervising payroll activities, reviewing time and attendance records, coordinating corrections with Timekeepers and Managers, and ensuring accurate coding and timely processing of payroll actions.
- Lead and support administrative staff by providing supervision, training, guidance, and oversight to ensure accurate and compliant business operations while maintaining confidential personnel, training, and performance records.

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Job Appointment, or Detail to Special DutyCompensation: This position is a AS-618 which ranges from $25.31 up to $49.66 per hour.
