Adobe Commerce Business Analyst
The Commerce Business Analyst (BA) acts as the essential bridge between business vision and technical execution across Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service (ACCS) and Adobe Commerce Optimizer (ACO) projects. Operating within an AI-First consultancy, this role leverages AI-driven discovery, automated documentation workflows, and predictive process mapping to translate complex B2B/B2C business requirements into clear, actionable technical epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Requirements Discovery & Elaboration: Lead business discovery sessions with client stakeholders to define B2B and B2C e-commerce workflows, catalog hierarchies, pricing rules, and checkout requirements.
AI-Accelerated Documentation: Utilize generative AI tools to draft, refine, and structure user stories, process flowcharts, functional spec documents, and acceptance criteria (Gherkin/BDD format) in a fraction of the time.
ACO & ACCS Mapping: Map business needs directly to out-of-the-box Adobe Commerce capabilities, ACO merchandising rules, Edge Delivery Services (EDS) content authoring models, and App Builder extension points-minimizing unnecessary custom code.
Smart Commerce & Personalization Strategy: Collaborate with business teams to define criteria for AI-driven features, including Adobe Sensei search/recommendations, dynamic customer segmentation, and automated merchandising strategies.
Backlog Management & UAT: Own and prioritize the product backlog in Jira/Azure DevOps, lead sprint refinement sessions, define edge-case test scenarios, and guide client stakeholders through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Experience: 3-6+ years as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner in digital commerce, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience on Adobe Commerce (Magento) platforms.
AI Proficiency: Active, daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, Jira AI plugins) for requirement drafting, user story creation, process map generation, and competitive analysis.
Adobe Commerce Depth: Familiarity with core Adobe Commerce B2B/B2C features, ACO catalog/storefront workflows, content authoring, and integration boundaries (ERP, PIM, OMS, CRM).
Agile & Scrum: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog prioritization techniques, and testable acceptance criteria writing.
Certifications (Preferred): Adobe Certified Expert - Adobe Commerce Business Practitioner, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or PMI-PBA.
