AOS - Recruitment Executive Search Support & Lead Qualification

We're hiring a Recruitment Executive Search Support & Lead Qualification Specialist to support the Founder of a boutique executive search firm based in Sydney, specialising in construction, civil, and engineering recruitment.

This is a genuine 50/50 role. Half of it supports the Founder's retained search desk — sourcing, candidate management, and reverse marketing. The other half supports a client venture, qualifying leads over the phone with primary schools across NSW and VIC. Both halves need someone who's genuinely happy on the phones and comfortable owning things end to end — when a new search kicks off, one instruction should be enough to set the whole workflow in motion.

What you'll be doing

• Sourcing and engaging candidates on LinkedIn from a brief, PD, and meeting notes
• Managing candidate Q&A, chasing CVs, and booking interviews — proactively, not on request
• Building a warm talent pool of construction, civil, and engineering professionals for future searches
• Running reverse-marketing outreach to hiring managers, turning strong runner-up candidates into new client conversations
• Making structured screening calls to primary schools (~100 calls/week) and logging outcomes in the CRM
• Sending a substantive end-of-day update so the Founder always knows where things stand
• Drafting LinkedIn posts and Seek ad copy for review

What we're looking for

• Excellent spoken and written English — confident and professional on the phone
• Genuinely happy on the phones — sustained daily calling is a big part of this role
• A "joiner" mindset — you want to embed in one business and grow with it, not juggle clients
• A proactive self-starter who works out the how, researches independently, and flags problems early
• Comfortable with structured reporting and accountability

Nice to have

• Recruitment resourcing or executive search support experience
• Exposure to construction, civil, or engineering recruitment
• Experience with recruitment CRMs and AI tools
• Previous experience supporting an Australian or UK recruitment business
