The opportunity
As an Application Security Intern, you will assist the security team in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities in software applications. Your responsibilities may include supporting secure code reviews, participating in penetration testing, researching common threats, and helping implement security best practices across the development lifecycle.
What you’ll bring
Knowledge of secure coding practices and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and basic vulnerability types (XSS, SQL Injection, etc.).
Experience with Git and basic CI/CD concepts.
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration within diverse teams.
Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to adapt and quickly acquire new technical skills.
Technical Skills & Technologies
SAST (Sonarqube, Fortify, etc).
SCA (Dependency Check, Whitesource, etc).
DAST (ZAP, Burp, etc).
Defect Dojo.
Java, PHP, Python, C, etc.
Pipelines (Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc).
