Area Sales Manager
Job responsibilities
The Area Sales Manager oversees the overall sales performance of our various lines of business by managing a team of sales consultants in a given area. Rentokil Boecker®’s Area Sales Manager is held accountable for the following job responsibilities:
Sales management
- Achieving the sales target of his/her unit (sales, earned revenue & profitability)
- Executing the Business Development Manager’s (BDM) strategy through SMART action plans
- Validating the offering & pricing of his/her team to ensure profitability
- Consistently meeting the key performance indicators set by the BDM
- Opening and developing sales channels for his/her team
- Providing recommendations on tactical marketing activities within their area
- Practicing social selling by leveraging his/her social network to reach prospects
- Establishing an effective lead management & follow-up process
Team management
- Developing his/her sales team through effective people management
- Delivering on-the-job training and supporting during field visits with the team
- Assessing strengths and areas for improvement against a set of KPIs
- Selling on his/her team’s behalf when necessary
- Evaluating individual performances and taking early actions
Accounts management
- Developing sales programs that maximize sales from the assigned accounts
- Crafting sales programs for his/her team which include offers, bundles, solutions, etc.
- Establishing & maintaining strong client relationships with decision makers
- Ensuring client satisfaction through follow-up with the relevant internal stakeholders
- Promoting up-selling & cross-selling within the existing customer base
Data management & reporting
- Account profitability report for existing clients
- Industry analysis & recent market trends
- Market research & competitive analysis
- SWOT analysis of the zone
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- At least 8 years of experience in marketing, sales or business development
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Effective decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
