ART-1386 - Senior Data Engineer (Database Expert)

1 year renewable contract

Summary:

• The candidate will be involved in optimization of database table/stored procedures/ad-hoc queries to improve application performance and resolve time out issues.
• The work involves following up on suggestion by Microsoft SME team and fine tune database configurations and table/index/queries to improve application performance

Requirements:

• Possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in database performance tuning, particularly MSSQL.
• Expertise in database performance tuning on table and index structure.
• Expertise in performance tuning on complex database queries and stored procedures, involving complex logic and joins of more than 5 tables.
• Expertise in regression testing changes made to database objects and queries.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Good to have

• Expertise in Amazon RDS is advantageous.
• Backend software engineering skill in C# is advantageous.
• Finance industry experience is advantageous.
