Job Summary
Lead and manage two art galleries to enhance artistic and commercial success by organizing exhibitions, promoting artists, and implementing marketing strategies to drive sales and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the artistic and commercial success of two company art galleries through strategic management and promotion
- Develop and sustain professional relationships with artists, clients, and curators to support gallery growth and collaboration
- Organize and promote art exhibitions to increase visibility and sales of gallery artworks
- Assess and select artworks to ensure quality and alignment with gallery standards
- Negotiate with curators from other galleries to facilitate exhibitions and partnerships
- Implement targeted marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, to boost gallery sales and artist exposure
- Advertise gallery artists and collections through various channels to attract collectors and visitors
- Update and manage the gallery’s websites to reflect current exhibitions and artist information
- Ensure accurate display of price tags, artist names, and biographical data on all artworks in the galleries
- Coordinate logistics for the transfer or delivery of artworks to ensure safe handling and timely arrival
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards within the galleries to provide a welcoming environment for visitors
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Fine Arts (Minimum qualification)
- Knowledge of art and art history relevant to paintings and sculptures
- Marketing skills focused on sales growth and promotion
- Proficiency in social media to support marketing and engagement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide professional service to collectors, artists, and visitors
