Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven Assistant Manager – Category Management & Space Planning to support category growth through data-driven decision-making, effective space utilization, and strategic merchandising initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize product placement, improve customer experience, and maximize sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute planograms.
- Optimize space allocation and merchandise placement to enhance customer experience and maximize sales.
- Monitor category performance and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in category management and space planning, preferably within a retail environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make commercially sound decisions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in space planning tools; experience with SPACEMAN software will be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
