Assistant Manager CSR

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Wesco’s current quality standards, product lines, pricing, and delivery schedulesLead by example in maximizing sales at existing accounts and actively propose and negotiate opportunities for additional value-added sales and services
  • Oversee compliance to customer approvals and contractual specifications, as applicable
  • Promote and maintain positive working relationships with customers and suppliers to achieve best exposure in the market
  • Monitor, manage and/or resolve complex account issues in a cost-effective and a timely manner
  • In conjunction with Outside Sales, rigorously pursue development of new customers from sales leads, through professional and appropriate sales methods; and utilize negotiation skills to produce reoccurring and long-term sales contracts
  • Develop and drive marketing strategy with a focus on promoting quality products and services
  • Share professional experience and knowledge in regards to suppliers, products, competition and/or markets to benefit the branch or regional strategies and goals
  • Assist the Regional Sales Manager or Branch Manager in analyzing and meeting branch or regional financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget for approval, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions to ensure budgetary compliance
  • Generate regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports for Executive or Regional management, as needed to maintain consistent communications of sales status, accomplishments and challenges
  • Practice, promote and participate in continuous improvement and/or process improvement efforts throughout the Company
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, mentoring and developing staff with effective teamwork; and in provision of the highest levels of quality and customer service, measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and goals
  • Assist or conduct regular and consistent informational sales and operations meetings with branch personnel, driving and monitoring the status of regional or branch and individual KPI's
  • Prepare timely performance evaluations, conduct reviews, administer salary adjustments, promotions or disciplinary actions and facilitate additional training or mentoring as, needed, driving maximum productivity and quality of processes, systems and procedures
  • Ensure employee personnel changes and timekeeping records are audited and submitted to Payroll, as scheduled
  • Maintain knowledge of supervisory responsibilities and enforce and uphold current Federal and State labor laws, Wesco employment policies, safety, quality and security policies, as applicable
  • Assist personnel in building and following a personal development plan through the use of Intranet tools and programs, sales training programs, self assessment tools, and relevant training courses
  • Attend and/or participate in external/internal customer or company meetings or sales/marketing events and communicate information to upwards and downwards, as applicable
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill the essential duties of the job
