Assistant Manager - Front Office
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager for our Front Office team in Udaipur, India. - Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless registration experience using appropriate service standards
- Manage cashiering duties with accuracy and efficiency, handling financial transactions and maintaining cash control protocols
- Coordinate and manage the front office service delivery system, utilizing resources, tools, data, and established service standards to optimize guest experiences
- Maintain visible management presence on the floor, coaching and supporting team members in handling guest feedback and resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Ensure all guest relations services—both behavioral and technical—align with hotel standards and support the organization's strategic objectives
- Assist guests throughout their stay by addressing requests, handling inquiries, providing directions, and offering personalized recommendations
- Manage guest communications including mail, messages, and phone calls with attention to detail and responsiveness
- Maximize room revenue through strategic upselling to higher rate categories and negotiating competitive rates for walk-in guests
- Oversee shift operations, coordinate team activities, and ensure consistent service delivery across all front office functions
- Monitor and analyze front office performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions
- Train, develop, and mentor front office staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Handle guest complaints and concerns with transparency and decisiveness, working toward mutually satisfactory resolutions
- Minimum 2 years of hotel front office experience in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity
- Proficiency with computer systems including Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and property management software
- Strong technical knowledge of front office operations, including reservation systems, check-in/check-out procedures, and revenue management
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to guest service excellence and team collaboration
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure and making sound decisions independently
- Proficiency in cash handling and financial accuracy with strong attention to detail
