As an assistant restaurant manager, you’re not just helping manage daily operations for one of our hotel dining outlets – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

An assistant outlet manager will be responsible for assisting management in the direction and administration of a restaurant in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel, discipline and participate in the evaluation of restaurant staff employees for the efficient operation of the restaurant.
• Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
• Ensure that the restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and employees.
• Ensure that all equipment is in working order.
• Visually inspect and take corrective action to ensure that facilities in the restaurant look appealing and attractive to guests.
• Provide guidance for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
• Oversee work orders to ensure repairs and maintenance of the facility are completed on a timely basis.
• Manage and monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in the restaurant.
• Ensure that food quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared to guest specifications.
• Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take corrective action to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
• Verify temperatures, judge appearance and taste of products, and check preparation methods to determine quality.
• Provide guidance for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in the outlet.
• Investigate and resolve guest complaints in a timely manner.
• Document inventory forecast usage and monitor supply so that restaurants are stocked with linen, glassware, silverware, chinaware, condiments, and other items necessary to provide appropriate customer service.
• Oversee setup of dining and service areas.
• Participate in marketing efforts of restaurants, create menu ideas, survey competition and report food trends, and assist in preparation of specials.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the restaurant as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
