Associate, Client Accounting

You will join UTA's Finance Client Accounting team, acting as the go-to person for a specific department on all accounting matters. You'll work closely with agents and their assistants to capture accurate and timely booking information within a GAAP-compliant environment. Day to day, you'll handle new client bookings, review and update existing bookings, meet regularly with agents and assistants, and deliver reporting that supports forecasting and collections. You'll also establish and monitor quality metrics to continuously improve the booking process.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with assigned agents regularly and their assistants weekly to ensure complete and accurate booking data and reports
  • Ensure client payments are processed quickly and accurately and in compliance with all legal and tax requirements
  • Liaise with clients and agents directly on invoices, statements, debits, tax matters, and account questions
  • Enter and maintain client bookings and review data for accuracy and completeness while considering revenue recognition standards
  • Coordinate with counterparts at other companies as necessary to complete booking details
  • Provide regular reporting to agents to facilitate forecasting, collections, and insights into client performance
  • Coordinate with the Cash Management team to ensure payments are applied to the correct booking
  • Provide exceptional customer service to agents and other stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve the client booking process
  • Build long-term relationships based on trust and confidentiality
  • Assist with ad hoc requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of any accounting experience
  • Entertainment experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a customer service focused role
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and tenacious
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to handle very high volume of transactions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • General understanding of fundamental accounting principles
  • Solid relationship-building skills
  • Ability to adhere to processes and procedures while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial & enterprise systems such as NetSuite
