Supports the core business activities of Credit Risk Management, i.e., Discount Window, Reserve Analysis, and Payments System Risk by performing daily activities of low risk and low complexity. Ensures activities are conducted in a manner consistent with established policy, procedure, and risk and control requirements. Interacts with internal project teams regularly. May follow-up with customers to ensure regulatory or operations-related questions are answered. Participates in tactical decision-making process.

The level of work required is considered entry level. Must be able to work under close supervision and in a team environment. This job does not have any direct reports.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

System Projects and Work Groups:

  • Supports primary System workgroup members and participates in local projects

Data Analysis and Report Development:

  • Collects and organizes data for report preparation and analysis
  • Runs queries, reports, and other technical analytical tools developed or run by the department
  • Assists in compiling non-complex data and information used to prepare briefings and reports relating to department activities for SCRM, CORA, Loan Committee and other forums

Regulatory and Operations-related Questions:

  • Fields, research, and responds to less complex regulatory or operations-related questions from depository institutions, examiners, and Board

Staff Research:

  • Research general regulatory and banking topics for presentations and projects

Bank Processes and Applications:

  • Inputs data, runs standard queries, and updates databases to account for changes in institution information
  • Suggests operational improvements to senior management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or Associates with equivalent experience with coursework in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, may serve in lieu of education requirement

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of business-related software applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • This position requires access to confidential supervisory information and/or FOMC information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law.
