Automation QA Engineer

Salary: $57 – $75 per hour

Location: Sydney, CBD

Employment Type: Daily Rate / Contract

Role Type: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office)

Total Testing Experience: 8+ Yrs

Automation Experience: 4+ yrs

VISA: People with valid working rights only, NO VISA sponsorship available for this role.

Total Number of Position: Multiple

Duration: 6 months rolling contract

Automation Tool (Any): Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress etc.

Role Description:

Desired Skill is looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in converting manual test cases into automated scripts, helping to improve the efficiency and reliability of our testing process. Additionally, you’ll apply your manual testing skills to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop manual test cases from requirement.

• Convert manual test cases into automation scripts

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts ( Framework is in place)

• Create manual test cases from requirements and technical documentation to ensure all scenarios are covered.

• Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify and implement automation solutions that streamline the testing process.

• Troubleshoot and optimize automation scripts to ensure reliability and performance.

• Document automated test cases and results, providing regular updates to the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years focused on automation testing

• Skills:
  - Proficiency with any automation tools, like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot framework etc ).
  - Strong manual testing skills, including the ability to create and document test cases from requirements.
  - Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
