AWS ETL Data Engineer

Salary: up to $140K (inc super) dep. on exp.

DWS is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with solid AWS skills to join a high-profile data migration and transformation program. Working as part of a small onsite team, you will be engaged in solution development, ETL and delivery activities while collaborating with other engineers and key stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise across AWS data services, modern ETL pipelines and large-scale migration initiatives.

Key Requirements

• Substantial professional data engineering experience delivering ETL and data migration solutions in major enterprise environments
• Mutiple years AWS experience building scalable, resilient and secure data platforms.
• Hands-on expertise with Hadoop/EMR, Spark and PySpark.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and XML.
• Experience designing and operating data ingestion, transformation and delivery pipelines.
• Experience working with file-based interfaces including CSV generation and secure delivery mechanisms such as SFTP.
• Ability to independently design technical solutions and provide end-to-end ownership of delivery outcomes.
• Strong understanding of data governance, PII protection and production support controls.
• Experience collaborating directly with business and technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to AI-enabled development tools such as Claude Code is advantageous.
