Back-end Web Development Supervisor

As we
continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and strategic Back-end Web Development Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain modules of the company’s custom-built CMS and backend systems supporting our websites.
Build scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations with third-party systems and databases.
Lead, mentor, and support one sub-team of the Back-end Web Development team through technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while conducting code reviews and promoting best practices in development.
Collaborate with Front-end Developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable web solutions.
Research and evaluate new technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and modern workflows that improve code quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in back-end web development, including at least 2 years in a technical supervisory or technical coordinator role.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience mentoring developers across different seniority levels.
- Native or near-native proficiency in English.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of PHP or Python.
- Knowledge of the Python Django framework is a strong advantage
- Experience with REST APIs, backend integrations, and databases.
- Familiarity with JavaScript and modern libraries/frameworks such as React, Angular, or jQuery.
- Good understanding of modern HTML/CSS.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern development workflows is considered an advantage.
