Backend developer
About the Role
We are looking for a creative and passionate Backend developer to join the Cloud & Web management group. This developer will join the Core team of Smart-1 Cloud- our SaaS product that enables customers to use Check Point’s Security Management over the web as a service and drive the growth of Check Point’s activity on the cloud.
Major Responsibilities
- As part of the team, you will work on mostly backend capabilities, in an agile development and delivery manner.
- Develop and own capabilities and features end-to-end from design to production, addressing CI/CD pipeline, monitoring, auto-testing.
- You Will be part of an AI-first team that handle variety of technologies both on the native cloud (AWS) services and on classic server-side processes that are used as part of the cloud solution.
- Maintain SaaS mentality with the customers’ experience always in mind.
Desired Background
Should have:
- Deep knowledge in SW engineering, preferably a degree.
- At least 5 years of experience developing distributed systems
- Network knowledge and experience
- At least 3 years of experience in node-js.
- AI native, continuously push productivity further with AI in all the development cycle and other tasks.
- Experience with launching and maintaining a system on the cloud with agile methodology, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
- Well organized, execution capabilities, methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Java
- Knowledge of Checkpoint products
