Backend Engineer Java

You integrate payment providers, build APIs for mobile and web applications, support integration between the in-house ledger and blockchain, maintain CI/CD and security infrastructure, and work with Product to ship and iterate quickly. You also help define the platform roadmap and architecture and establish maintainable, test-driven coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Integrate third-party providers for card issuing, card acquiring, and banking payment flows
• Build APIs for mobile and web applications
• Support integration of the in-house ledger with the blockchain
• Maintain the CI/CD pipeline and security infrastructure
• Work closely with Product to ship quickly and iterate frequently
• Help define the platform technical roadmap and architecture
• Establish high-quality, maintainable, and test-driven code standards
• Take ownership of projects and drive them

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend experience
• Fluency in Java
• Experience with Java 24, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
• Experience with crypto is preferred but not mandatory
• Start-up or scale-up experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Based in Europe or able to work in European time zones
