Backend Software Engineering Intern
You will design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs with Python and Django or FastAPI. You will manage PostgreSQL data models and queries, use Redis for caching and queues, collaborate to ship features, write tested and documented code, review code, and optimize services for performance and scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python, Django, or FastAPI
- Write efficient queries and manage data models in PostgreSQL
- Use Redis for caching, queues, and service performance
- Collaborate with frontend and QA engineers to ship end-to-end features
- Write clean, tested, well-documented code and participate in code reviews
- Debug and optimize existing services for performance and scale
- Work with large blockchain-transaction datasets
Requirements
- Python
- Object-oriented programming
- Django, FastAPI, or another Python web framework
- Relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL
- Schema design, indexing, and query optimization
- Caching concepts and Redis
- REST API design
- Problem-solving and data-structure-and-algorithm fundamentals
- Git and collaborative version-control workflows
- Final-year graduating 2027 B.Tech, B.E., or dual-degree student
- IIT, NIT, or IIIT student
- Computer science, information technology, or closely related computer science branch
- Strong academic record and demonstrated coding ability
