Banking Integration Tester

Position overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented software tester – integration domain to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in integration testing across distributed systems, ensuring seamless communication between banking applications, middleware, APIs, and third-party services.

This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, integration workflows, and banking environments to ensure high-quality and reliable system integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and execute integration test cases and test scenarios.
• Validate end-to-end integration between banking applications, middleware, APIs, and external systems.
• Analyze business and functional requirements to identify integration testing needs.
• Perform system integration testing (SIT), regression testing, smoke testing, and functional testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, solution architects, and project managers.
• Validate API requests and responses using testing tools.
• Verify data consistency across multiple integrated systems and databases.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
• Support UAT activities whenever required.
• Ensure testing activities comply with banking quality standards and project timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on integration testing.
• Previous experience working within the banking or financial services sector is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Temenos T24 testing and integration is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
• Good knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
