This is a full time, permanent position. Shift work is required for this role, Working a biweekly rotating shift pattern, which is: 07:00 – 19:00 Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday.

As a BioAssay Analyst you will serve within the client environment to carry out test procedures and produce accurate results, to work to the highest standards in terms of quality and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities that you be covering:

  • You will perform analytical and bioassay testing in line with pharmacopeial, regulatory and Eurofins quality standards, generating, interpreting and reviewing data to support release and stability testing within agreed timelines.
  • You will manage the receipt, distribution and tracking of samples across the laboratory, ensuring all sample management activities and associated documentation are completed accurately, legibly and on time.
  • You will maintain expertise in assigned analytical techniques, keep up to date with SOPs and official documentation, and contribute to the authoring, revision and continuous improvement of procedures, reports and laboratory processes.
  • You will support the effective operation of the laboratory by ensuring the proper use, calibration and maintenance of equipment, while adhering to all Eurofins health, safety, housekeeping and quality requirements.
  • You will investigate deviations and out-of-specification results, identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency improvements, and communicate recommendations to management to enhance service delivery and cost effectiveness.
  • You will train and support colleagues as required, maintain up-to-date training records, provide cover across the team when needed, and work flexibly to ensure client requirements are consistently met or exceeded.

What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as an BioAssay:

  • You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a scientific discipline and have experience working within a laboratory environment, preferably within a GMP-regulated setting.
  • You will have practical knowledge of a range of analytical techniques, such as HPLC, Capillary SDS, Capillary IEF, ELISA, UV, pH, turbidity and particulate analysis, with experience in sample management considered advantageous.
  • You will have experience working with laboratory systems and software, including LIMS platforms, and be confident in maintaining accurate and compliant laboratory records.
  • You will have strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to laboratory work, ensuring the consistent generation of high-quality data and documentation in line with Eurofins standards.
  • You will have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot laboratory issues, investigate anomalies and contribute to the resolution of technical challenges.
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively as part of a collaborative Eurofins team while building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
