Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Location: Des Plaines Clinic

Employment Type: Full-Time | Entry-Level and Recent Grads Encouraged to Apply!

Salary: $75,000–$85,000/year

At IABA, you didn't get certified to fight red tape - you got certified to help kids thrive. As a BCBA-owned small business, we've built a place where clinical judgment leads, not corporate quotas. There are no minimum therapy-hour mandates, no cookie-cutter treatment plans dictated from above - just a tight-knit team of behavior analysts who trust you to do what you were trained to do.

Here, clinical decisions are made by clinicians. You'll design and lead individualized interventions across in-home and clinic settings, backed by a team that genuinely has your back.

And we mean it about work-life balance. Build your own schedule. Work from home for your indirect hours. Whether you thrive on a traditional 5-day week or prefer four 10-hour days, we'll find what works for you - because sustainable careers make for better clinicians.

If precision teaching, single-subject design, and real client outcomes light you up, let's talk.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead intakes and functional behavior assessments to set meaningful, individualized goals
  • Administer behavioral, language, play, and skill-based assessments
  • Design, supervise, and analyze ABA-grounded treatment plans rooted in precision teaching
  • Mentor and evaluate staff to ensure treatment fidelity and consistent quality of care
  • Overlap sessions semi-monthly to support your team's growth and development
  • Partner with families through monthly meetings to help skills generalize beyond the clinic
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethics, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance
  • Meet 120 billable hours/month (including 20 hours of non-face-to-face clinical work), with holiday adjustments built in
  • Handle programming, documentation, treatment planning, and data analysis remotely - on your schedule
  • Reports to clinical supervisor or senior BCBA

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • Active BCBA national certification
  • 1+ year of clinical experience with children with developmental disabilities or autism (RBT, BCBA, or Program Manager experience all count!)
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter who thrives with autonomy
  • Precision Teaching or Natural Environment Teaching (NET) background a plus
  • Someone who shows up - reliable, professional, and dependable

Also Needed:

  • NPI number, CAQH profile, and Illinois State Licensure
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred (QBS Safety-Care training provided by us!)
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance (services split across in-home, clinic, and remote settings; up to 30 minutes travel one way)

Why BCBAs Choose IABA:

  • Autonomy that's real - build your own schedule, work from home for indirect hours
  • Clinician-led, not corporate-led - decisions driven by BCBAs, not a distant corporate office
  • Quality over quotas - no arbitrary minimums, just meaningful outcomes
  • A close-knit team - mentorship, collaboration, and support at every level
  • Room to grow - entry-level and recent grads welcome
