Business Analyst / Tester
The work:
We are seeking a Business Analyst/Tester to support a team maintaining and enhancing an established, Pega-based enterprise application. In this role, you will gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into actionable user stories in JIRA, and test system functionality — through both manual and automated testing — to validate enhancements, identify defects, and ensure quality across ongoing releases. We are looking for someone detail-oriented with the ability to learn quickly. Prior testing experience is not required but strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements; identify functional requirements and create user stories for application enhancements and fixes
- Create, manage, and track JIRA tickets throughout the project lifecycle
- Test developed stories and ensure application QA through manual and automated testing
- Prepare for and participate in internal design sessions
- Solve problems and provide technical support to application end users
- Develop and maintain documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support delivery using SAFe methodologies; assist the Scrum Master and team as needed
- Recommend process improvements throughout the project lifecycle
Here's what you need:
- At least 2 years professionally work experience as a Business Analyst with an active Top Secret clearance.
- Must understand, gather and analyze client business requirements and translate them into actionable user stories in JIRA.
- Must demonstrate knowledge with the functionality of Pega-based application and technology.
- Ability to create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.
- Full lifecycle development using Agile.
- Willingness to go 100% onsite in DC.
