Business Development Advisor / Team Lead, Energy & Infrastructure
For Linklaters Warsaw, we are currently recruiting for the Business Development Advisor / Team Lead, Energy & Infrastructure.
About the Team
Join our global Business Development & Marketing team, responsible for delivering high-quality business development support across Linklaters’ practices and sectors, with a particular focus on the Energy & Infrastructure practice area.
This is primarily a hands-on individual contributor role, working closely with business development colleagues worldwide to support client development, pitch efforts, legal directories, research, campaigns and strategic initiatives. The role will also include a team lead element, helping to coordinate priorities, share knowledge, lead on career conversations, secure business continuity during absences, and support the effective delivery of work within the BD Hub.
You will be responsible for
Providing hands-on business development support to the Energy & Infrastructure practice area, working closely with key internal stakeholders.
Coordinating and delivering high-quality client-facing practice materials, including credentials, CVs, capability statements and tailored pitch input.
Supporting the preparation of business development plans, client targeting initiatives and priority campaigns in collaboration with Product BD, Sector and Client Relationship colleagues.
Managing the drafting and project coordination of legal directory and award submissions for relevant practice and sector areas.
Maintaining BD pipelines, trackers, credentials and other core content to support efficient delivery and knowledge sharing.
Using Salesforce and other BD tools effectively to capture activity, monitor opportunities and contribute to better data quality.
Analysing BD activity, gathering feedback and identifying practical improvements to processes, templates and ways of working.
Building strong working relationships across practices, sectors and business teams to ensure responsive, commercially focused support.
Providing team lead support to a team of ca. four colleagues by helping to coordinate workload, clarify priorities, lead on career conversations, and ensure work is delivered consistently and to a high standard.
Sharing knowledge, guidance and feedback with colleagues where needed, while remaining focused on direct business development delivery as the core part of the role.
Using data and feedback to improve service quality and resource allocation.
Coaching, mentoring and developing team members’ skills and careers.
Fostering a strong client service ethos and empowering the team.
Acting as an escalation point and supporting recruitment and onboarding.
Ensuring HR processes are followed in line with firm policies.
Apply if you
Have a minimum of four years of experience in business development or marketing in a law firm or professional services firm.
Demonstrate strong project management, organisation and time management skills.
Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Are proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Bring a collaborative approach, confidence working independently with senior stakeholders and the ability to provide light guidance or coordination to colleagues when required.
Have some experience supporting others through informal coaching, quality review or work allocation; formal line management experience would be an advantage.
Show initiative, solution-focused thinking and resilience under time pressure.
Are committed to high quality, continuous improvement and client service.
Have an interest in, or previous exposure to, Energy & Infrastructure work; prior direct experience in this practice area would be an advantage but is not essential.
Location and working hours
Warsaw (hybrid model - 2 days a week from office)
Working hours for this position are 10:00 to 18:15
