About the role:

This role is your opportunity to develop essential sales skills, gain deep industry knowledge, and lay the foundation for a journey in the world of enterprise software sales. We’ll provide you with continuous training and sales mentorship to help you on your way to success and career growth with us.
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), your role is to find and create new sales opportunities, via prospecting and conducting cold outreach across our existing customer portfolio. You’ll identify organisations’ current and future IT challenges to help match AvePoint products and support services to those needs. If you’re a team player, driven and eager to hit the ground running then we want to hear from you!
Key responsibilities:
- Own outbound pipeline generation strategy and execution across multiple concurrent sales plays, no inbound activity management involved in role
- Actively test, optimise, and scale messaging, using data to improve conversion rates across personas and plays
- Identify, research, target and qualify senior buyer personas (CIO, CISO, CTO, Procurement), tailoring messaging to business drivers and strategic priorities
- Leverage account insight (triggers, intent signals, industry trends) to drive highly personalised, relevant outreach
- Collaborate with account owners and wider account teams to translate customer engagement and product adoption insights into targeted outreach strategies and qualified pipeline generation.
- Design and deliver multi-threaded, multi-channel outbound campaigns (primarily phone but extending to email, LinkedIn) with clear persona and play alignment
- Consistently deliver qualified meetings leading to pipeline that meet defined sales-accepted criteria and conversion expectations
- Partner closely with AEs to align on account priorities, penetration strategy, and deal progression, ensuring quality handover
- Maintain rigorous CRM discipline, ensuring full visibility of activity, pipeline contribution, and account engagement
- Provide structured feedback to sales and marketing on play effectiveness, messaging resonance, and market dynamics
- Demonstrate strong commercial judgement, prioritising accounts and plays that maximise pipeline and revenue impact
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and accountability over outbound performance and results
- Positioning AvePoint effectively to facilitate a high conversion of leads to qualified pipeline opportunities by executing and communicating effective product and solution-based messaging
- Scheduling and coordinating appointments with potential customers to support the sales pipeline and ensure effective follow-ups
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with end customers to foster long-term engagement
