Business Systems and Digital Platforms Officer

About the role

Under the direction of the General Manager, lead the functional administration, integration, optimisation and lifecycle coordination of business systems and digital platforms across Institute for Social Neuroscience (ISN), in collaboration with business owners. The position translates approved operational, learning, clinical and administrative requirements into reliable platform configurations, integrations, reports, documentation and organisation-wide user resources, with substantial responsibility for evaluating, testing and operationalising approved AI-enabled capabilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the organisation's technical software and digital-platform register, including business ownership, purpose, users, administrators, integrations, vendors, support arrangements, dependencies and lifecycle status

  • Coordinate day-to-day functional administration of assigned platforms, including settings, workflows, templates, forms, notifications, user roles and service standards

  • Monitor platform health, usage, support issues, vendor releases and dependencies and coordinate timely resolution of functional issues

  • Work proactively with business owners and partners to understand service requirements, user needs, policy obligations and operational pain points

  • Coordinate approved integrations, data exchanges and automated workflows between business platforms and service providers

  • Administer application-level user access, roles, permissions and settings following approved requests and role-based requirements

  • Coordinate approved platform implementations, migrations, upgrades and transitions from requirements through to operational handover

  • Evaluate, test and support approved AI-enabled platform capabilities and workflows for business, learning and service applications

  • Write and maintain system standard operating procedures, administration procedures, user guides, process instructions, checklists, quick-reference resources and troubleshooting guidance

  • Coordinate platform vendors and specialist providers, including support requests, defects, service performance, changes, functional renewal input and implementation actions

About you

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in information systems, business systems, educational technology, digital learning, data, business analysis or a related discipline, or equivalent substantial experience

  • Demonstrated experience administering a portfolio of business or digital platforms and translating business requirements into configuration, integrations, controls and reporting

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating platform implementation, migration, testing, release readiness, user acceptance and operational handover

  • Experience administering learning or assessment technology, including online assessment workflows, gradebook controls, originality checking, accessibility or learning analytics

  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality SOPs, procedures, staff guides, checklists and technical instructions aligned with organisational policy

  • Experience designing reusable staff training materials, digital learning resources, demonstrations or structured platform enablement programs

  • Advanced practical AI literacy and demonstrated experience evaluating or implementing AI-enabled tools or workflows, including structured testing, verification, prompt or instruction design, privacy, bias, hallucination risk and human oversight

  • Strong capability in reporting, data validation, workflow analysis, access controls, vendor coordination and platform optimisation

  • Sound judgement regarding academic, clinical, employment, privacy, security and system-related information, with disciplined escalation and recordkeeping

  • Experience in higher education, health, clinical, psychology or another regulated environment is highly desirable
