Cleaning Manager

Location: Tameside - based from our office on Margaret Street, covering 8 Tameside Schools

Working hours: 38.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Contract: Full time, permanent

Your new role

What you’ll do:

As Cleaning Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the delivery of the Cleaning Service for our client in Tameside in line with KPIs.

  • Working closely with school site managers
  • Managing cleaning services across 8 schools
  • Managing cleaning staff and supervisors, training compliance and rotas
  • Supporting catering administration as required
  • Allocation of work, quality control and audits
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH
  • Maintaining site cleanliness standards
  • Delivering toolbox talks, payroll timesheets and H&S documentation
  • Handling HR and Recruitment needs as relevant with support from HR and Recruitment teams
  • Responding to helpdesk instructions
  • Supporting budget and stock control
  • Cover emergency situations – hands on approach with supporting cleaners and supervisors.

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Cleaning Manager across multiple sites
  • PFI experience desirable
  • Education sector experience desirable
  • Methodical approach
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge (IOSH desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS with Child Barred List Check before starting in the job.
