About the role
MSS Security is seeking Escort Security Officers who hold or are eligible for a Negative Vetting 1 Clearance to join our team at a high-profile data centre in Melbourne.
Sponsorship is available for candidates who do not yet hold a clearance.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Escort and monitor visitors and contractors while they are within security restricted areas.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors remain within authorised areas and maintain line of sight.
- Verify and confirm visitor identification prior to granting access to secure areas and maintain visitor logs.
- Inspect visitor belongings in accordance with site procedures.
- Challenge and report any unauthorised persons, suspicious behaviour or security breaches in accordance with site procedures.
- Report equipment faults in accordance with site procedures.
Requirements:
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Hold or willing to obtain an NV1 Clearance.
- Valid Victorian Security Licence.
- Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).
- 24/7 Availability to work a rotating roster.
- Ability to walk up to 15,000 steps per shift as part of routine patrols.
- Must be able to supply background information including (but not limited to) referees, past addresses, overseas travel, education etc.
