Cloud DevOps Engineer
Job purpose
The job holder is responsible to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and cloud infrastructure to accelerate software delivery and improve operational reliability across Almanea’s technology platforms.
Job deliverables - accountability
- Provisioned and documented cloud environments (Dev / UAT / Prod).
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates (Terraform / ARM / Bicep).
- Environment architecture diagrams (approved and version-controlled).
- Cloud cost optimization report (monthly / quarterly).
- Fully automated CI/CD pipelines (build and deploy).
- Rollback / disaster recovery automation scripts.
- System monitoring dashboards.
- Alerting configuration (SLA/SLO based).
- Monthly uptime and availability report (e.g., 99.9%).
- Incident root cause analysis (RCA) reports.
- Cloud security baseline (aligned with ISO 27001 / NCA).
- Vulnerability and patch compliance reports.
- Access control matrix (IAM roles and permissions).
- Audit logs and compliance evidence repository.
- Backup policies documentation and implementation.

CI/CD pipeline management
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to reduce manual effort and deployment risk.
- Monitor pipeline performance and resolve build/deployment failures promptly.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates.
- Maintain version-controlled infrastructure repositories and documentation.
- Ensure IaC practices are adopted consistently across the technology services team.
Cloud operations
- Manage cloud resources on Azure and/or AWS, including compute, storage, and networking.
- Implement cloud cost monitoring and optimization practices.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with security and governance standards.

Qualifications and experience
Minimum qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
- Certified in Azure DevOps Engineer / AWS DevOps Professional. Kubernetes (CKA) preferred.
Minimum experience
- Minimum experience of 3–5 years in a DevOps or platform engineering role.
- Proven experience is a must.
