Cloud Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP environments.
- Manage and support infrastructure automation using Terraform.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation using Java, Unix Shell, Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell.
- Support middleware technologies including WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, and Kafka.
- Support CI/CD and automation platforms such as Jenkins, Ansible, Rundeck, and Git.
- Monitor infrastructure and applications using Nagios, OMI, ServiceNow, and Geneos.
- Work with Elasticsearch for logging, monitoring, and data analysis where required.
- Apply ITIL Service Management practices across Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Develop an understanding of LLMs and AI architecture patterns, including RAG, Agentic AI, MCP, and related approaches.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
- Participate in shift-based operations and rotational on-call support.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, stakeholders, and internal technical teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or related technical roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and Terraform.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Scripting/programming experience with Java, Unix Shell, Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell.
- Experience with one or more middleware technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, or Kafka.
- Good understanding of ITIL Service Management, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Understanding of LLMs and AI architecture patterns, including RAG, Agentic AI, and MCP.
- Exposure to Jenkins, Ansible, Elasticsearch, Rundeck, and Git.
- Familiarity with monitoring and service management tools such as Nagios, OMI, ServiceNow, and Geneos.
- Willingness to work in shifts and participate in rotational on-call support.
- Strong analytical, logical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
