Cloud Engineer
Key responsibilities
• Provision and administer approved cloud resources, platform services and access configurations.
• Monitor workloads, performance, availability and utilisation and respond to operational events.
• Apply approved security baselines, identity controls, tagging, logging and configuration standards.
• Support hybrid connectivity and dependencies with on-premises infrastructure, networks and applications.
• Provide cost, utilisation and optimisation analysis; implementation remains subject to entity approval.
• Maintain cloud inventories, diagrams, procedures, configuration records and recovery documentation.
• Support incident, problem and change management and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Assist with TDRA-hosted or other approved environments once the target model and access are confirmed.
Requirements
Minimum experience and qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of relevant cloud engineering and administration experience.
• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, identity, monitoring, security configuration, backup and cost management.
• Azure Administrator/Architect or AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
• Experience working through controlled privileged-access and change-management procedures.
Preferred profile
• Previous experience supporting UAE government or regulated cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of TDRA-hosted environments and federal cloud coordination processes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation under approved governance controls.
Expected contribution
• Cloud workloads remain observable, secure and supported against the confirmed operating baseline.
• Utilisation and cost optimisation opportunities are reported with evidence.
• Configuration and access changes are documented, approved and traceable.
• Remote delivery complies with entity security and data-access requirements.
