About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, manage and optimize cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining reliable and secure cloud environments, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues and supporting the continuous improvement of cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain cloud infrastructure according to business and technical requirements.
- Deploy, configure and manage cloud resources and services across different environments.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including backups, patching, upgrades and updates.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, reliability and capacity.
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls, including access management and encryption.
- Support security assessments and vulnerability testing to maintain compliance with relevant standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, connectivity and performance issues.
- Work closely with software development teams to support application and cloud integration.
- Develop and maintain automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash or other scripting languages.
- Work with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and practices to automate cloud provisioning and configuration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5–6 years of experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, including managing cloud infrastructure and deploying cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Good understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and tools.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools for proactive issue detection.
- Good understanding of cloud security best practices, access controls and security implementation.
