Role Summary
This role provides intermediate level product development and technical support for small to mid-size cloud-based projects. Identifies, resolves, or escalates hardware or software issues that span multiple technology domains, while mentoring technical teams to ensure seamless cloud operations. The ideal candidate (3-5 years of experience) would have experience in software development using Python and AWS
Designs, implements, and deploys cloud platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
Provides intermediate level technical support and monitors multiple cloud technology platforms efficiency through the use of monitoring tools and applications. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of cloud software and infrastructure platforms.
Develops technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products. Reviews configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime.
Trains and mentors staff and IT project teams, providing guidance and consultation as required. Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.
Administers systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks. Evaluating system performance and capacity in a large distributed infrastructure environment.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Maintains the security posture of cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with compliance standards and organizational policies.
Develops and applies automation scripts to support deployment, scaling, and maintenance of cloud resources.
Oversees hybrid cloud environments, optimizing performance and uptime across platforms.
Troubleshoots cloud system issues, identifying root causes and implementing preventive solutions.
Design, document and implement new services/ solution.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, or cloud operations.
Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT) or equivalent experience.
Hands-on expertise with AWS Services, Python,Cloud based databases, CI/CD, Pipeline Development, Cloud Platform Development, Cloud Based Application Development
Hands on experience in software development using Python and cloud
Nice to have skills- Claude, Understanding of Analytical tools, Basic exposure of AI tools
Able to work independently, passionate about solving points of pain for developer community, scrum/agile methodologies
Basic troubleshooting skills in cloud infrastructure, networking, security best practices, and performance optimization

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
