Cloud Operations Manager - Your Move into Management

Salary: $135,000 - $150,000 base p.a. plus super and bonus

The role

What matters most in this role is people development, technical process improvement and problem solving.

On the people side you'll grow the skillset of already driven engineers, encouraging their problem solving and development. You’ll recognise which buttons each engineer needs pushing to maximise their growth.

You don't walk past a problem. If you see a process that can be improved or a reoccurring issue you address the root cause. You'll encourage your team to adopt this mindset.

Role specifics:

• Technical and people leadership of the Managed Services team
• Mentoring and growing engineers across all levels
• Continuous improvement across people, process & tech
• Driving technical direction, owning the quality of technical outcomes, shaping technical solutions and delivery patterns
• Billing, process and operational reporting
• Customer data, permissions & security governance
• HaloPSA ownership - optimisation, automation, reporting
• Vendor and tooling management
• Capacity and workforce planning

What you bring:

• A background as Microsoft Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer
• Technical experience: M365, Azure, Security, Modern Workplace, Endpoint Management, exposure to DevOps, IaC and AI beneficial
• Currently a Team Leader or Senior Engineer acting as a Team Lead
• You'll love mentoring people and growing your team
• You'll love solving problems, improving and automating processes.
• You're self directed, curious and always asking why
• Comfortable stepping in technically when needed
• Positive, professional and great with customers
