As Cluster Sales Manager, you’ll be at the heart of driving profitable growth across our B2B segments from Corporate and Corporate Groups to MICE while supporting B2C opportunities that fit our commercial strategy.
You’ll take the lead for our hotels in Rotterdam and Brussels, while also playing a role in future projects and new destinations. With your strong local network, commercial mindset and passion for hospitality, you’ll build meaningful relationships, open new doors and turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Working closely with Revenue, Brand Marketing and Operations, you’ll bring people and priorities together to create the best possible results for both our clients and our hotels. Your success will be measured by clear, jointly agreed KPIs, including revenue growth, new client acquisition and client retention across the Corporate and MICE segments.Ready to make an impact? Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
- Perform targeted sales acquisition plans for Corporate and MICE segments in both cities.
- Identify opportunities to grow high-yield and long-term business relationships.
- Proactively organize and perform sales activities, including client visits, sales blitzes, site inspections, networking events, and trade fairs.
- Build and nurture relationships with new and existing corporate clients, agencies, and event planners.
- Partner with commercial key players such as destination bureaus, conference centres, hotel partners and others.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring alignment with The Usual’s values and mission in all interactions.
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs and tailor solutions to exceed expectations.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets for Corporate Individual, Corporate Groups, and MICE. In addition for Brussels, a strong focus on EU/Government related business.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions using CRM tools.
- Monitor market trends, competitor moves, and new opportunities to keep The Usual competitive.
A self-starter through and through, you thrive on working towards both personal and team targets, with proven success in client acquisition. Hospitality and customer focus are second nature to you, seamlessly combined with a professional and analytical mindset. What you bring to the table:
- You spot opportunities and turn them into results;
- You are always striving for win-win solutions that benefit both the client and the hotel;
- You are committed to frequently travel to and from Brussels and Rotterdam;
- Having an market B2B network already for Rotterdam and Brussels is highly favourable
- You are commercially driven, professional, and have a keen eye for detail.
- At least 2 years of recent experience in hotel sales, preferably in the B2B/corporate travel segment;
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work and thinking level, ideally in sales or hospitality;
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written (knowledge of French is a plus);
- Experience in independently negotiating contracts;
- Familiarity with hotel sales (distribution) channels is a plus.
- We apply a hybrid working model with three in-office days in Amsterdam or at business contacts.
- You are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands.
