Senior Construction Manager – Construction / ACMV / M&E
Scope of Work
- Lead and manage overall construction and site operations for assigned projects.
- Oversee project planning, execution, progress, quality, safety and timely completion.
- Manage project teams including Project Managers, Engineers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors and workers.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
- Review project drawings, specifications, method statements and construction requirements.
- Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment and site resources.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
- Oversee project costs, variations, claims and commercial matters.
- Ensure compliance with WSH, quality standards and applicable construction requirements.
- Provide leadership and technical direction to site teams and ensure effective project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage construction activities from project commencement through completion and handover.
- Establish project execution plans, work schedules, manpower requirements and resource allocation.
- Monitor overall project progress and ensure works are completed within the approved programme.
- Lead regular site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors on project matters.
- Review and resolve technical, construction and site-related issues.
- Coordinate closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, workmanship, productivity and compliance with project requirements.
- Review and approve work programmes, method statements, risk assessments and inspection requirements.
- Ensure proper coordination between different trades and prevent site conflicts and delays.
- Monitor project costs, variations, progress claims and potential commercial risks.
- Identify variation and additional works and coordinate with the commercial team for timely submission and approval.
- Ensure proper quality control, inspections, testing and commissioning of completed works.
- Ensure all site activities comply with WSH requirements and company safety procedures.
- Monitor manpower productivity and take corrective action where required.
- Manage project risks, delays, defects and other construction-related issues.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, rectification and final project handover.
- Maintain effective communication with senior management and provide regular project status reports.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
- Lead the project team towards achieving safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
- Review completed projects and identify areas for improvement in future project execution.
