Role Overview
The Construction Manager will lead high-impact infrastructure and energy projects across the Phoenix Metro Area, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving excellence in safety, cost control, scheduling, and overall project execution for complex mechanical construction initiatives. The position plays a key role in supporting mission-critical projects that power communities and industries.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements
- Serve as the owner’s representative for large capital improvement projects, making project-related decisions with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Review plans, specifications, contracts, reports, and construction documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and project requirements.
- Oversee complex construction activities, including facility modifications, utilities, equipment installation, exterior improvements, inspections, and field testing.
- Coordinate access, permits, shutdowns, schedules, subcontractor activities, and stakeholder communication to minimize disruption and maintain project progress.
- Help manage construction contracts, including changes, documentation, progress estimates, and variance reporting.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues, evaluate constructability and cost effectiveness, and support budget and schedule control.
- Monitor jobsite safety, enforce applicable regulations and policies, and issue stop-work direction when necessary.
- Maintain inspection logs, prepare required reports, update project specifications, and ensure accurate project records.
- Lead, train, and mentor assigned staff while contributing to team efficiency, customer service, and professional development.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass applicable background check and pre-employment drug screening requirements.
