CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
Job Description
- Lead and manage construction projects from planning to completion under tight deadlines.
- Oversee contractors, subcontractors, workers and daily site operations.
- Work in demanding construction environments involving prolonged standing, outdoor work, heat, dust, noise and physically challenging site conditions.
- Handle multiple urgent issues simultaneously, including project delays, manpower shortages, material issues and unexpected site problems.
- Work under high pressure to meet strict project deadlines, quality standards and client expectations.
- Regularly monitor site progress and take immediate action when problems arise.
- Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Working hours may be long and irregular, with overtime, weekends and public holidays required depending on project demands.
- Be prepared for frequent changes in priorities and tight schedules, requiring strong resilience and the ability to remain effective under pressure.
- Ensure strict compliance with Singapore construction, workplace safety and MOM requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant construction project management experience.
- Strong site management, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure and demanding environment.
- Physically and mentally prepared for challenging construction site conditions and extended working hours.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Willing to work across different project sites in Singapore when required.
