Contracts Administrator
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor Contractor contractual obligations in accordance with the contract.
- Review Contractor contractual correspondence, notices, submissions, and formal communications.
- Prepare and review contractual notices and formal correspondence on behalf of the PMC/Client.
- Maintain claims, variations, notices, correspondence, and contractual registers.
- Monitor contractual deliverables, obligations, milestones, and submission requirements.
- Support the interpretation and implementation of contract provisions and requirements.
- Review Contractor variations and change requests from a contractual perspective.
- Support the evaluation of claims, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, and contractual entitlements.
- Coordinate contractual matters with Planning, Commercial, Construction, Engineering, and other PMC functions.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records supporting contractual decisions, claims, and notices.
- Identify potential contractual exposure, risks, and obligations and advise PMC management.
- Track contractual actions, approvals, notices, outstanding decisions, and required responses.
- Support completion certification, project handover, and contractual close-out activities.
- Support final account preparation and review and overall contract close-out.
- Provide contractual updates and recommendations to PMC and Client management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of total professional experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in similar contract administration roles.
- 5–8 years of GCC/KSA experience.
- Proven experience administering construction contracts within PMC, engineering consultancy, or client-side environments is preferred.
- Experience with Design & Build (D&B) infrastructure and major development contracts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction contract administration, contractual correspondence, notices, variations, claims, and EOT processes.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting contract conditions and supporting contractual entitlement assessments.
- Strong understanding of project interfaces between contracts, commercial, planning, construction, and engineering functions.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate contemporaneous records and manage multiple contractual matters under tight deadlines.
- Saudi Arabia/GCC project experience is strongly preferred.
