Credit Policy Manager (Mortgage)
You will design mortgage credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for retail lending in Lithuania, validate underwriting strategies, manage preventative and reactive responses to market and product changes, monitor portfolio performance and credit KPIs, conduct quality assurance reviews, support planning, and mentor colleagues in credit risk management.
Responsibilities
- Create mortgage lending policies, procedures, and frameworks
- Help build and scale global underwriting systems
- Make data-driven marginal decisions
- Manage credit limits, risk-based pricing, retention strategies, regulatory changes, and new feature launches
- Adjust risk-return requirements and portfolio returns
- Support budgeting, sales forecasting, and planning through market and industry analysis
- Conduct quality assurance reviews
- Provide training and mentorship in credit risk management
- Contribute to product development and funnel optimisation
- Track initiatives and monitor credit KPIs
- Ensure approval and good ratings from risk functions and regulators
Requirements
- Experience managing credit risk for mortgage products and/or credit cards and unsecured personal loans
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as economics, management, maths, engineering, or statistics
- Understanding of credit policy governance frameworks and credit risk models
- Knowledge of working through second and third lines of defence
- Ability to identify and resolve interdependencies and issues
- Ability to explain complex concepts simply
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent working knowledge of SQL and other data analysis tools
- Willingness to learn new technology
- Master's degree
- Proficiency in R and Python
