Job Summary

Our client, a well-established bank is seeking experienced Custody Sales professional to join the team and drive business development across institutional clients and financial intermediaries.

Senior candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered for a Team Lead position

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the custody and securities services business.
  • Originate new business opportunities across institutional investors, asset managers, broker-dealers, banks and other financial institutions.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with existing clients, acting as a key point of contact for custody and related services.
  • Identify client needs and work closely with product, operations and implementation teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and lead client presentations, pitches, RFPs and commercial negotiations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across custody, fund services, securities lending, cash management and other transaction banking products to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor offerings and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline, including tracking prospects, mandates, revenue opportunities and sales activity.
  • Work closely with relationship managers and product specialists to originate and execute new mandates.
  • Support pricing discussions, commercial proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure client onboarding and implementation activities are coordinated effectively through to go-live.
  • Contribute to the overall strategy and growth of the custody and securities services franchise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in custody sales, securities services, transaction banking or institutional sales.
  • Strong understanding of custody products and the broader securities services ecosystem.
  • Existing relationships with institutional investors, asset managers, broker-dealers, banks or other financial intermediaries preferred.
  • Proven track record in business development, client acquisition and revenue generation.
  • Strong understanding of the post-trade lifecycle, including settlement, asset servicing, corporate actions and related services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially driven with strong client relationship management capabilities.
  • Able to work effectively across product, operations, implementation and relationship management teams.
  • Regional exposure and experience covering cross-border clients would be an advantage.
