Data Analyst (Power BI) - 3/4 month contract

Salary: $650-$700 per day

• Parramatta location (2 days in office per week)
• 3/4 month contract - possible extension
• NSW Government
• Power BI experience required

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern cloud-based data environment, leveraging Power BI to deliver insights that support operational and strategic decision-making across a high-profile government organisation. The broader technology ecosystem includes Azure, Databricks and Snowflake, providing exposure to a mature and evolving data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources
• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports
• Support data validation and data quality activities
• Automate reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency
• Resolve data-related issues and support ongoing reporting needs
• Contribute to briefing papers, reports and business documentation

Key Requirements

• Experience with SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau
• Experience working in Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, BI Analyst or Data Engineering positions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience developing reports and dashboards
