Onsite Data Analyst at a Hong Kong vehicle-telematics client of Ricoh, focused on fleet monitoring. Day-to-day work covers data QA, ELT/cleansing, dashboarding, data-warehouse and data-model projects using Excel, Python, SQL, and BI tools.
Our client focus on developing vehicle telematics, which in essence means the monitoring of vehicles. Their goal is to help fleet to increase their operating efficiency and to reduce the accident rate. They are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team.

Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot data issues, work with Data team to provide quality assurance of imported data
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets consisting of transactional, web, and other types of data
- Apply models, data mining, and segmentation techniques to extract insights from our datasets
- Perform other daily operation/ad hoc duties as assigned
- Data processing including Data ELT (Extracting loading), Data cleansing
- Engage in data warehouse projects and data framework projects
- Produce dashboards for the visualization of various data
- Involve in data model design and framework design when you are ready
- Develop reports and analysis from single or multiple systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or relevant discipline
- 1-2 years experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence
- Experience involving in Excel, Python and SQL
- Knowledge in driving safety / smart mobility / vehicle engineering domain is a plus
- Knowledge in machine learning is a plus
- Knowledge on visualisation tools e.g. Power BI / Tableau is a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to coordinate, develop and implement cross-departmental projects
