Data Analytics Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Data Analytics Engineer with strong hands-on experience across the full data lifecycle, from data analysis and modelling to pipeline development, orchestration, quality, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines.
- Develop data ingestion processes from various source systems into a hybrid data platform.
- Work with on-premises Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) using Data Vault 2.0 and cloud platforms using Medallion Architecture.
- Develop and optimize data models using Kimball dimensional modelling.
- Build and maintain data transformations using dbt, SQL, and Jinja.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI.
- Support data quality, governance, workflow orchestration, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify relevant KPIs and reporting requirements.
- Work pragmatically within an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent.
- Proven recent experience as a Data/Analytics Engineer and Power BI Business Analyst.
- Expert knowledge of SQL and Power BI/DAX.
- Strong experience with dbt, Kimball dimensional modelling, and Data Vault 2.0.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Python, and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of ETL pipelines, data mapping, data migration, and Enterprise Data Warehousing.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Relevant certifications such as Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Fundamentals, dbt Fundamentals, or Collibra Data Steward are a plus.
- Good communication skills in Dutch, English, and French.
