🔹 Position: Data Engineer
📍 Location: Porto, Portugal | Hybrid – 2 to 3 times per month in the office
🔹 Main responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and transformations on Databricks and Synapse
Develop and manage reusable, high-performance data products across bronze, silver, and gold layers
Integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse sources (SAP, Salesforce, external systems)
Ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance with governance and security standards
Optimize data processing for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Automate workflows, testing, and deployment via CI/CD pipelines
🔹 Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
Experience with Azure Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory
Knowledge of Data Vault, Dimensional, and Entity-Relationship modeling
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Azure DevOps, Git, and Terraform
Knowledge of data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview or Databricks Unity Catalog
Fluency in English (mandatory)
Databricks certifications (valued)
