Data Governance Lead
You will turn the existing data governance framework into practical standards and procedures. You will define data ownership, lead governance forums, set and monitor data quality rules, maintain glossaries and dictionaries, oversee classifications and access controls, support audits and risk assessments, and promote data literacy across the organisation.

- Define and monitor data quality standards
- Develop and administer data governance tooling
- Manage data access and classifications
- Support internal and external audits and risk assessments
- Champion data literacy and culture change
Requirements
- 5+ years of data governance experience in a regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and applicable data protection regulations
- Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or DGI frameworks
- Experience defining data quality metrics and implementing remediation processes
- Technical understanding of databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience running governance initiatives as structured programmes
- Experience with Collibra, Purview, or Alation is desirable
- Professional data management certification such as CDMP is desirable
- Experience with data governance in an AI/ML context is desirable
