Data Platform Engineer

You manage Snowflake accounts, security, and data governance through Infrastructure as Code. You develop Terraform modules for roles, access controls, masking policies, data classification, and resource provisioning. You maintain CI/CD pipelines, optimize resources and costs, and improve monitoring, compliance, and data lake architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Terraform modules for Snowflake account management
• Implement role-based access controls, governance tags, and dynamic masking policies
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Manage Snowflake network policies, service accounts, and identity provider integrations
• Optimize Snowflake resource utilization, warehouse performance, and cost efficiency
• Define and enforce data governance policies and classification standards
• Build monitoring and alerting for infrastructure drift and compliance
• Contribute to data lake architecture improvements and open table format adoption

Requirements

• 8+ years in data engineering or data platform roles
• Deep Snowflake administration experience
• Production Terraform experience with module development, state management, and import workflows
• Terragrunt experience for multi-environment infrastructure management
• Python proficiency
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
• Active use of AI tools in engineering workflows
